I got the first book free on a 'free weekend' event and it was so enthralling that I just had to read the rest of Alexandria's story. The books have a good pace and easily keep your attention. Our heroine goes through some really tough times and battles that are well described, but perseveres. I like how the author mixed in historical events; most not real, but they add well to the story line. The third book could use a bit more editing as word usage was not up to snuff with the other three in the 'set'. (like: blue and 'purples' flowers)

I would've given the series 5 stars, but in reality, this is one story and could've / should've been one book. Thus, the 'need' to purchase the rest of the series, book. The end of books 1 - 3 are like the end of a chapter in the middle of a book; there is no closure for these books. The following book starts right where the previous book left off. It would be like JKR taking 'Hallows' and randomly dividing it into 4 books instead of just one. Fortunately, book 4 does close the story well.

Overall, I do feel it is well worth the price of the 4-book 'series'.

I really loved these books! They were the first ones of Chelsea's books I have read but now I am a fan of her writing. Definitely recommend these to anyone.
This series was great all the way through. I enjoyed the action that took place, the twists that the plot took and the climax at the end. Very enjoyable.
I borrowed the first book in this series from the library. I enjoyed the first so much I ended up buying the entire series. I loved the series. Th characters and story is wonderful. I've recommended them to my daughter. The books are not just about Alex becoming a witch. There is a message in the stories. I believe teens could relate to Alex's struggles.
Very good. Finished the first book and had to have the rest of the series, good characterizations , lots if action. Characters are well done. Tell about 3 hrs to read. VERY enjoyable. Thank you,looking forward to more
If you like a story about Vampires then this is for you. I'm not a fan of books about Vampires but this Story is written pretty good. There are some parts where you think wth.
It isn't easy to relate to the main characters but over all I likes the Story line. This is a good book for Teens
I liked it. Ms. Bellingeri's writing is good - has flow and details, unlike a lot of the recent books I have read in the genre. She also didn't have too many books in the series, another grievance I have with a lot of the new series. I mean, come on, who needs to spend $$ 20 times for short stories!
This story line did not take long to hold my interest. Although I was able to figure out quickly the secret. However, along with the rest of the series I could not put it down until I was finished with all four books. I love the fact that there was a past in which the future was rewarded for it.
