Another amazing Dark Warriors novel. I absolutely loved Midnight's Captive. I have to say I think this was one of my favorites so far. So much happened in it. This novel was full of so much action, humor and romance. It was very hard to put down.

I love all the warriors and their Druid mates. But I really enjoyed reading Charon and Laura's story. Charon is so damaged from his time with Deidre, that he never thought he was good enough to be with the rest of the warriors. Always willing to help out, but chooses to live away from them. Laura has been his assistant for years, and their attraction to each other has grown but with his past and her not being a Druid, Charon doesn't want to move forward. Charon has to put his trust in the Warriors and in Laura to be able to battle Jason Wallace.

Lots of twists and turns in this novel, Charon and Laura's relationship is tested when they learn things about Laura and her past.

Donna Grant introduces new immortals to her Dark Warriors novels. The whole Dragon Kings story intertwined with the Dark Warriors was fun to read. I absolutely loved it. I'm excited to learn more about the Dragon Kings world now. The battle scene was fast paced and action packed and amazingly written.

I can't wait for Phelan and Malcolm's books. Just wish I didn't have to wait for it. One suggestion to anyone new reading these, start with the Dark Swords series and read on from there. Trust me, it will be worth it.

Donna Grant has done it again with an adventurous action packed book. Wonderful book involving a love story between a Highlander warrior full of secrets and and one of his employees who also has her own secrets. Then take an evil druid who wants to destroy all the warriors and druids in order to rule the world, and you have a thrilling story which ends with a battle involving all the warriors and dragons against evil. Loved it, getting ready to read the next book in the series.
I've been waiting for Charon's book and boy was it worth the wait!! Great story, great action, and the characters were masterfully portrayed! Just the PERFECT amount of steam... Charon is gallant and behaved exactly the way I'd hoped he would. Not too much angst on his part and not too much silly girl behavior from the heroine--which made for the PERFECT amount of chemistry and steam between the two! Love the set up to the next book...can't wait to see where she takes it with Phelan. LOVED the book and will definitely keeping reading the series. Really appreciated the whole tie in with Dreagan too!!!
OMG this was the best in the series yet. It was thrilling and I just couldn't put it down. I loved the raw emotions the suspense and the battle. I was having a hard time putting the book done and was only through 60% of the book when it became impossible. I also loved the way that the Dragon Kings were bought into this book. I only have two more Warriors to go and I'm going to miss them all once this series is finished. My mind can't help but to wonder how Phelan and Malcolm find their true loves. Bring it on!!!
MIDNIGHT'S CAPTIVE....Donna Grant has outdone herself. Coming to the end of this book was so bittersweet as I did not want to let go of the story and say "good bye, til we meet again" as I neared the end.

Midnight's Captive not only is a continuation of the DARK WARRIOR series, so if you are like me and have read them all...the Dark Warrior family is at again...battling a new improved evil....Jason Wallace. This time Charon finds that he is in the hot seat as Jason strikes close to home...in the process he can not avoid his assistant Laura.....and the desire that exists!!

I have to say that it is hard to not reveal too much....but this story also propels us into the DARK KINGS....as they are also a part of this amazing story line. For those of you who are not aware...DARK KINGS = DRAGONS!!! Oh yes....DRAGONS!!!

I have read every book of the Dark Sword Series as well as the Dark Warriors series and have found the whole overall story to be amazing and one the best I have ever read. Midnight's Captive just knocked the ball out of the park and set the standard for future stories in this epic tale very high. I loved the story of Charon and Laura and have looked forward to his book since he was first introduced. The continuation of the overall plot line is great, the action tense, and of course the romance hot. The introduction of the Dark Kings, leaves you anxious to jump into their stories and adds even most excitement and intrigue to the Warriors world. I devoured all the books in a matter of days, and find myself marking the calendar for the release of the next in this series.
Ms Grant picks up where she left off in Midnight's Kiss. The story follows Charon Bruce's story and integrates the Dark Kings into the overall story which made me read this series as well. It is fast paced and keeps the reader enthralled working out how the Warriors and druids will combat the well orchestrated and strategic attack by Declan's evil cousin and the newly looming threat posed by ancient evil beings accidentally released in the previous story.
Unlike previous books in the series, this one follows the approach taken in Midnight's Kiss, presenting several plots at the same time, evolving multiple characters and branching into several sub-story lines throughout the book. It makes for a very interesting read - one that you really don't want to put down and leaves you desperately waiting for the next instalment.
For me it is perhaps the best in the series so far and demonstrates an evolution in the author's writing style and approach. I can't recommend it enough!
