Loved this! The characterization is great. Written in first person, my heart ached for the young woman, though I really admired her strength and determination. I wanted to wrap my arms around her and tell her I was proud of her. I desperately wanted her to reach the goals she'd set. And I wanted every young person to read and understand that where there's a will, there's a way! THEN. . . the story takes a drastic turn midway through and suddenly it's plot driven. Really!
